UYES was founded in 2004. UYES offers various practical and effective Chinese courses as well as numerous elective courses for children and youth, with the goal of facilitating Asian-American communication.

UYES’ mission is this: To teach students to speak Chinese fluently, to read the language with ease, to be able to translate from Chinese to English and vice versa quickly, to understand cultural differences, and to become well-rounded international individuals. |

Keeping in mind that students are in English speaking backgrounds, UYES has created a unique Visual Learning Method for Chinese teaching and promotes a very lively, enthusiastic classroom environment, with very interactive activities that include both speaking and singing. We approach education from various different perspectives so that our students may come in happy and leave happy.

UYES has developed a one-of-a-kind, Chinese teaching curriculum system: Chinese basic knowledge (Pinyin and strokes), oral skills, recognizing characters, reading, grammars, translation, SAT II Chinese exam preparation. Texts and materials have been meticulously chosen or written by our own teachers, presenting students with topics that relate to their everyday lives, gaining their interest and helping them learn.

UYES’ China Educational Trip is a theme trip. UYES organizes the trips to China during school breaks. Hundreds of American students have already experienced different cultures and lives as a result of the trips. Also, UYES has helped hundreds of Chinese students visit U.S.A.

n addition, UYES offers various and effective Math, English writing, drawing… courses, which have been very well received by both parents and students.

UYES’ teachers all have college degrees, a great deal of experience, and a shared love for students, teaching, and take their jobs seriously. They are able to adapt to each student's needs in creating a diverse and practical curriculum.

UYES holds one great Chinese New Year’s celebration in winter and an exciting academic contest during the spring every year. The contest includes Chinese recognition, reading, writing and other enrichment subjects.

UYES is well organized and managed. Our team of administrators does a great job and work very productively together. UYES’ parents also give the school a great deal of support.
