China is one of the world's oldest civilizations and is the symbol of Eastern Culture. The culture of China was molded by a history rich in over 5,000 years of artistic, philosophical, and political advancement, and is a nation that is home to one of the world's oldest and most complex societies. There is hardly any country on earth that can match China’s richness in culture, tradition, history and of course, natural scenery. In the recent years, China has been achieving an unprecedented and impressive rate and magnitude of gains in its economy, and is seen to have excellent prospects. It is argued that that China is playing, and will continue to play, a key role in promoting regional and global collaboration.
China Educational Theme Trip is organized or supported by Chinese government organizations in China side and UYES on the American side. The program is aimed at American students and organized according to theme, e.g. Arts Trip, Sports Trip. With this trip students will develop their interests in Chinese culture and history, so that they can put more passion into chinese studies. In addition, for those students who are learning Chinese, they have chance to practice Chinese in real environment and they can improve their Chinese greatly. Only when they are there in China, students may start to appreciate and understand what a difference it is to live in a nation with 5000 years of history and the magnitude of the diversity of its culture.
UYES’ China Educational Theme Trip providesa well-planned balance of educational, cultural and recreational activities. Our goal is to provide the students with a 'definitive experience' and increase students’ interests in Chinese history and culture, improve their Chinese in a short period of time, and experience Chinese daily life.
